Free fishing days for 2014 will take place on May 31 and June 1. On these days residents, nonresidents and aliens (except those whose license has been suspended or revoked) may fish without a license. All other laws and regulations apply on these days

June 7 & 8 -- STATEWIDE FREE FISHING WEEKEND! Take a friend or family member fishing for free--you won't need a fishing license to fish any waterbody statewide for these two days! It is time well spent with family and friends. Your purchase of a fishing license directly supports fishing, stocking, education and fish habitat management programs. The Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) has designated Saturday, May 12th as a “Free Fishing Day” in Connecticut where no fishing license will be required. This opportunity will be available to both residents and non-residents and applies to all public waters of the state
